Agriturismo Brunino is a farm at 1015 meters high at Brunino, on Grignone in Valsassina, in the municipality of Pasturo.
The farm is at the center of the resort, a very quiet place and surrounded by nature, in a sunny position, very good for enjoying the cuisine and spending a nice day just a few kilometers from Lecco and flatland. Accessible on foot easily and quickly, from farm one enjoys the view of Grignetta, with Valle del Gerone,[^] and Grignone, on the other side, of the mountains of Valsassina, with in foreground Valle di Desio and Zucco di Desio.

Agriturismo Brunino has address Località Brunino 1, mobile phone 380 2957590, and it is open in July and August every day, in other months closing days are Monday and Tuesday,[^] but it is better to phone call during the weekdays.[^][^]

Agriturismo Brunino[^] has a very simple website,[^] on Facebook there is an unofficial page named Agriturismo Brunino (1015mt) Pasturo(LC)[^] and a public group[^].[^] In Instagram there is a position with the same name as the unofficial Facebook page,[^] it has been tagged a few times,[^] and in Flickr, with the name of the farm in the search text box, come out only my photos.[^]

How to reach it

Agriturismo Brunino can be reached in short from several locations: from Pasturo through a paved and cemented road accessible only by authorized vehicles, it takes 1 hour to walk, and from Balisio, taking Via Grassi Lunghi and going to the Church of the Sacred Heart, continuing on a private road, less than half an hour by walk. The two roads join just in front of the farmhouse, separated by a yellow bar.
Many paths pass through the agritourism, one cycling with Pedaling in the Park 3 signage, from Cornisella and from Church of the Sacred Heart.

Structure

Agriturismo Brunino, lovely to look at, is a traditional mountain shelter, in the past called Rifugio Brunino. It is a one storey building plus a mansard with sloping roof, elevated from the road.[^][^] In the facade, four windows are on the ground floor, in the middle of the entrance, upstairs a long balcony with two doors and a window, beside a small mold with a bas-relief of Madonna and Child and two angels[^].[^] At left, a veranda, a part of the building that looks like a later addition, beside there is another building, which is a stable with hay, behind a space for donkeys, a large chicken coop and a vegetable garden[^].

Inside there is a large dining room furnished in wood, which gives the impression of a family atmosphere, with a large fireplace in the center. A staircase goes to the top floor rooms.[^] The lovely veranda area is equipped with some tables where eating, a door goes to the kitchen. It is also a place to shelter from the sun or the cold, and is named by a plate Bivouac of "Gurdet", dedicated to a mountaineer of Mandello Andrea Gatti.[^]

Outside there are benches to sit,[^] and a lawn, equipped with deckchairs, umbrellas and tables,[^] at a corner, on a high green pole, waves the Italian flag.[^]

In front there is Cascina Margherita,[^] a rentable space for groups, where it sees a lot of guys in the summer, from schools and oratories of Lecco, that take advantage of the farm.

Cousine

Agriturismo Brunino is frequented by hikers and bikers that, along a short distance, can be stay in pristine surrounds, outdoors. Here, hungry, they can taste the typical mountain and traditional cuisine of Valsassina, sometimes also during the weekday, or simply relax taking an ice cream, a drink or a coffee, and repair when necessary.
Main courses more frequently are pizzoccheri,[^] ravioli, gnocchi,[^] pasta, second dishes meat or birds served with polenta,[^] then mixed vegetables and more, to finish cakes pies, fruit salad and ice cream with coffee. In Trip Advisor the rating of the reviews is good.[^]

My experience is that Agriturismo Brunino is the only place that gives some confidence to eat on Grignone on the slope of Pasturo and I went there for several occasions.[^] In the week, when it's open, the menu is limited to a maximum of two choices, good food and service, right the portion of the dishes. The price is reasonable, if not low, for a first course, a glass of wine, a slice of pie and a coffee I spend just over 10 euros.
Managers of the farm refuge are two friendly young people.
